The display of disrespect to Ken Heckler was disgraceful. Of those booing, jeering and catcalling, each likely has a family member Heckler helped get black lung benefits. For that matter, booing a Second World War veteran, in and of itself, shows the moral and ethical depths to which the coal companies have dragged their employees.
One wonders if these coal workers will boo Don Blankenship when he leaves them high and dry when the coal runs out.
